We are committed to proactively fostering emerging multimedia-based methods of distributing information so that we may continually innovate and use progressive techniques as catalysts for change to empower our clients.

Coefficient Media was founded in 2007 in Jackson, Michigan, but the story starts long before. CEO and founder David Buchanan has been involved with web design and an interest in technology since 1997. In these first few fledgling years of the internet, he worked on numerous projects to expand the reach from a physical world to the web. During this time, he also was involved with recording and participating with multiple bands and musical performances. Broadening his world of knowledge, he dove into learning the technical involved with audio recording, editing and publication.

As the internet grew and became more complex, so did David’s expertise in creating websites. His passion for communicating a message or achieving a goal online pushed him to new forms of media. David was active in the online blogging community since its inception. As a natural progression he then became one of the first podcasters in Michigan.Bottom of Form Forms of media developed and online communities became a much more integral part of how the internet worked. He then started working on social communities and consulted with many people on how to best develop their own.

His most recent interest comes in creating video, along with broadcasting live experiences over the web. As new forms of interactive and immersive online environments grow, so will Coefficient Media’s use and implementation.
