As a new business in it can be hard to get started and to find other local businesses to network with. My business (Coefficient Media) and my friend Mike (Commerce Guys) are looking to get some office space in Jackson. We both are just getting started and only have a few people that work for us. We think it would be great to have a central place where young professional in Jackson can meet and network.

 

At Coefficient Media, we pride ourselves with staying current with technology trends and implementing the best features of those for our clients.  With that responsibility comes a lot of research and testing.  We put ourselves through countless hours or surfing the web, testing gadgets and experimenting with online social networks.  It's a dangerous business but someone has to do it. 

ArbCamp is an unconference for Ann Arbor geeks of all stripes (tech, art, music, science, biz, etc.), an informal meeting where the schedule is built by its participants. For the second year in a row, Coefficient Media has made the quick trip over to Ann Arbor to share ideas and learn with some of the brightest minds in Michigan.

Formed by a group of citizens, JCEG's mission is to assure the economic health of Jackson County through partnerships with local and governmental agencies. Coefficient Media is teaming with JCEG to create an integrated web re-design. They will also emphasize the community aspect of the website to best work for and with local businesses. To complete the package, there will be digital media highlighting examples of JCEG events.

The Aware Shelter of Jackson is a confidential women’s shelter and transition providing 24 hour crisis and emergency services, safety planning, legal advocacy and counseling and other necessary services. Coefficient Media is working with aware to build a completely new web site to help those in need find information at any time.

JXN Local First is non-profit organization designed to support and cultivate locally-owned, independent businesses in Jackson County and to educate the public to the social and economic benefits of doing business local first. JXN Local first will work with Coefficient Media to create a local community based web site for businesses along with a updated web design and video profiles of local businesses.

The Armory Arts Village is a bold, innovative community redevelopment project that uses arts, culture, creativity and innovation as a catalyst for reinventing the community of Jackson, Michigan and the surrounding region. Coefficient Media works closely with the Armory Arts Village, having completely created a new website with videos and information. Current projects include an artist profile database along with online store, photo gallery of featured artwork and featured artist videos. There will be continued development of digital media for the web.
